The Falu Foundation is a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation operating to serve low-income and other needy communities.
Since 1988, the Foundation has focused its work on four major areas: technology and the digital divide, economic development and jobs, children and technology, and heritage research.

The Falu Foundation initiated Silicon Barrio, a comprehensive Technology Telecommunication Initiative with the main objective of preparing community members for jobs using computer applications and other information technology.
Contact the FoundationDr. Georgina Falú founded the Falu Foundation in 1988 and manages the Youth Technology program, Early Childhood/Pre-K programs, GED program and Heritage Research program.
Dr. Falú is described as a leader in technology education and economic development in New York's Latino and minority communities. She founded the Falu Foundation's technology center in Upper Manhattan and initiated Silicon Barrio, a technology and telecommunications initiative focused on preparing community members for employment.
She has given computer and Internet seminars to professionals, seniors, children and families throughout the New York area. Her work has emphasized education, employment preparation, community development and access to technology.
Dr. Falú has more than 35 years of teaching experience in colleges and universities in Puerto Rico and the continental United States. Her academic background includes accounting, business administration, business studies, a Master of Arts degree and a doctorate in higher education finances.
The Foundation's work has included professional encounters, technology workshops, educational programs and employment-focused community initiatives.
